CJ is a full time teacher by day (head of music) & musician by night (& weekends/ holidays)!!

A singer song-writer . . . (but usually ends up playing covers; "Play one we all know!!!"), cj also plays keyboards/ piano, guitar, sax, flugel horn/ trumpet & specialises in the drum kit/ percussion.

During her drumming days, CJ did the usual thing of playing at festivals & the London venues (12 Bar, Verge, Cairo Jacks, Borderline, etc.) and also supported Suzanne Vega, Cast & the Lightning Seeds. Although still drumming for a couple of rather good local bands(!), cj decided to concentrate on her own stuff a few years ago.

Since the decision to go solo, CJ has played a few of the London venues, some festivals - & has just performed at the Reading Festival on the Nokia stage.

Currently recording her debut solo album, CJ is also gigging or running open mic nites most evenings, running African Drumming workshops @ the weekends (has played in West Africa), teaching music privately & doing session work when got a spare minute!!

Apart from music - CJ is a keen surfer & an ex-international cricketer (well, England 'B')! She has toured in New Zealand, is a qualified coach & now plays cricket for the women's MCC team.

She hopes you'll like her tunes when the album is finished, but until then, has put some very un-finished & very un-mixed tracks on here!! :)
